Municipal Office Hours are:
Monday & Tuesday: 8am to 4:30pm
Wednesday: 8am to 6pm
Thursday: 8am to 4pm
***Closed Fridays***
All Town Municipal Offices have the same phone number they had, prior to the move: check the Local Government listing section of your phone book under Sterling for numbers, OR pick up a free Business Directory the next time you are in the Town Hall.
Directories are FREE.
(The purpose of the Directory is to 'get the word out' of what Sterling has to offer. It is FREE advertising for our businesses: If you have a business & are not in the Directory, please contact 564-4752 to share your information, and it will be added to the Directory ASAP.)
FYI: Sterling's Building Office Official and the Town's Wetlands Agent have different hours than posted above. For your convenience, please call 564-2275 to make an appt. with these staff people.
*Sterling's Public Library is very comfortable in its new surroundings.
The Library membership has increased dramatically since moving to this new location.
The Library offers a wide array of books, computer use to the public, many VCR/DVD tapes and CDs.
COME CHECK US OUT!
The entrance to the Library is the same as for the Recreation Department - the rust-colored double doors adjacent to the gym.
*Sterling Recreation Department is working on it's list of Fall programs. Watch for further details!

Where: Sterling Rd aka Rt. 14
Sterling Recreational Area - walking track, ball field, well field.
Time: All events begin 11am, with the day's grand finale ~ fireworks ~ at dark.

Pine Hill Alpaca Farm, LLC is a family owned and operated farm located on 8.5 acres of land, at 148 Pine Hill Rd., Sterling
(From 395, take exit 88)

This farm offers the alpaca animals....they are too cute to describe!......they must be seen to be appreciated!
Plus a Farm Store on the premises that offers a large selection of raw fiber, roving and yarn from our herd.
Some details: These animals originate from Peru, Bolivia & Chile. They are cousin to the camel & Llama. Their lifespan is 20-25 years.
Adults weigh 125-150 lbs. They are shorn annually, each yielding 6-13 lbs. of fiber.

School opens its doors for the 2009-2010 season on Monday, August 31st, with a full day.
