Assessor's Notice
Various personal property exemptions are allowed for: veterans, elderly homeowners, elderly renters, farm or forest- land, farm machinery, totally disabled persons, and blind persons. The deadlines to file vary, so please contact the Assessor, 564-3030. For more info - visit the Assessor's page
Building Fee Schedule
A fee is required for structural changes to a residence or business, new construction, as well as sheds and garages. Contact the Building Official, 860-564-2275, 7:30-11:30 a.m., Monday-Thursday.

Burial Permits - $3
Recording Fee-First page only - $43 Conveyance fee - $2.00
Fee of $5 per page after the first page each marginal notation on assignments after first two - $1
Copies of Births, Marriages and Deaths - $5
Copies, per page (non-land records) - $0.50
Copies, per page (land records) $1
Certification of Copy - $2
Late filing by campaign treasurer - $55
Local Conveyance Tax - .0025 x sales price
Filing of Maps, Subdivision - $20 each
Filing of Survey - $10
Marriage License - $30

Vital Statistic Fees between Towns - $2
Dog License Fees - $19 per year for male or female, if spayed or neutered $8 per year, due every June.
Late fees are assessed at $1 per month thereafter.
Proof of rabies vaccination is required.
Replacement of lost tag - $.50

· Hours: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 7:00am to 2:45pm
· April 1 st thru Sept. 30 th hours are Thursday 11:00am thru 6:45pm
· Yearly Permit - $30 -- due Oct. 1 each year and can be purchased at the Transfer Station.
NOTE: As of April 1, 1997, all household trash must be placed in specially marked bags. Bags cost $1.00 each and can be purchased at the Transfer Station.
